The 5-seat Honda Crosstour is a mid-size hatchback that offers more cargo carrying versatility than a conventional family sedan. Offered with a 4-cylinder or V6 engine, the Crosstour can have front or all wheel drive. The Honda Crosstour competes with the Subaru Outback and Toyota Venza. Styling includes a new front end that makes the Crosstour look more like the recently redesigned Accord sedan. Additional changes include updated cabin materials, a more powerful available V6 engine, and standard features like a backup camera. Available safety features include a blind spot display, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Under the Crosstour's Hood

The Honda Crosstour is offered with one of two engines. The 2.4 liter 4-cylinder produces 192 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. The other choice is a 3.5 liter V-6 rated at 271 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed automatic is the only available transmission for all Crosstours. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on the EX-L V6.

A massive grille dominates the front of the Crosstour. It's far bigger than the Accord sedan's grille, and it gives the headlights a squinting look that recalls Honda's smaller Civic sedan. In back, the rear body panels coalesce at a black panel below the rear window. The Crosstour's unique three-spoke steering wheel and blue backlit gauges make the familiar interior distinguishable from the Accord sedan. It seats five in two rows of seats. Releasing two levers in the rear drops the 60/40-split folding backseat to create a generous 51.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
Conclusion

The Crosstour has standard anti-lock brakes, traction control, and electronic stability control. The 6 standard airbags include driver and front passenger dual-stage airbags, driver and front passenger side impact torso airbags and side curtain airbags that extend from the front seats to the rear.
