No Image Selected
Are you looking for a compact and reliable sedan with innovative tech, a comfortable interior, and an efficient engine? If you’ve considered the 2019 Honda Civic Sedan and the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, the choice should be clear. When you compare the base models of each (Civic Sedan LX and the Cruze L), the Civic emerges as the obvious winner.

The 2019 Civic Sedan’s 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an available automatic Continuously Variable Transmission. The Cruze offers no manual transmission to complement its 1.4-liter ECOTEC® turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The Civic Sedan LX outperforms the Cruze L, cranking out 158 horsepower compared to the Cruze’s 153.

The Honda Civic Sedan LX also boasts superior braking and suspension with a standard rear stabilizer bar, Hill Start Assist, and variable assisted steering, none of which are available on the Chevy Cruze L.

Interior Features

Inside, the 2019 Honda Civic Sedan LX offers a wider range of comfort and convenience features than the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze L. Automatic Climate Control, Cruise Control, steering wheel-mounted controls for audio and cruise control, and floor mats are standard on the Civic, but not available on the Cruze. The Civic Sedan LX features an available universal garage door opener, but this isn’t an option for the Cruze L.

Interior Space

The 2019 Civic Sedan LX offers more trunk space than the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze L (15.1 cubic feet compared to 14.8). Inside the main cabin, the Civic continues to win the space game, offering more front headroom (39.2 inches compared to 38.9), more front hiproom (53.7 inches compared to 53.2), more front shoulder room (57.0 inches compared to 54.9), more second-row shoulder legroom (55.0 inches compared to 53.2), more front legroom (42.3 inches compared to 42.0), and more second-row legroom (37.4 inches compared to 36.1).
